Why Porcelain Paving Slabs over Concrete or Natural Stone?

The main benefits of Porcelain Paving over traditional Concrete Paving or Indian Stone Paving for example, is cleaning. The Porcelain Paving has low absorption which makes surface grime much easier to remove, generally by just using a jet wash. Porcelain Paving Slabs do not need sealing  to keep it's colour bright like natural stone, so they're much easier to live with to maintain their look.

What size Porcelain Paving Slabs are best to use?

This is more personal preference than technical. In Porcelain Slabs, we stock 60 x 60cm, 60 x 90cm and 60 x 120cm,  All sizes can be laid in bond or out of bond (On 1/3) but it's entirely down to what look you want to create.

How do you lay Porcelain Slabs?

Porcelain Slabs should be treated exactly the same as any other paving, they need a good solid base as a start. The most popular way is to use hardcore as a base, then install the paving slabs using a mix of sand and cement, or we can supply external motar which can be used with sand instead of cement, at a rate of 6:1 which is fibre modified to create a strong bond. The Porcelain Paving Slabs should have a full bed of the motor under each slab, to provide a full coverage of support.  You must ensure that you use a suitable Slurry primer on the back of all the slabs to create a strong adhesion to your mortar due to the low absorption properties porcelain has.

How to clean Outdoor Porcelain Tiles?

As stated above, general grime can be cleaned off Outdoor Porcelain Tiles by simply using a Jet Wash. If a chemical is needed products such as Lithofin Intensive Cleaner can be used.
